Welcome New Chapter FIT Liaison

The Chapter is pleased to welcome Dominic James Vacca, DO, as the new FIT Co-Liaison. Dr. Vacca is currently completing his Internal Medicine residency at Prisma Health Midlands/University of South Carolina.

A graduate of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Vacca earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine following undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech, where he graduated summa cum laude.

In addition to his scholarly work, Dr. Vacca has been actively engaged in leadership roles, serving on the Prisma Health Midlands Resident Council and contributing to multiple national medical societies. His dedication to advancing cardiovascular education and research makes him an excellent representative for fellows-in-training within SCCACC.

In his new role as FIT Liaison, Dr. Vacca will serve as a key connection between trainees and cardiovascular leadership across South Carolina, helping to promote collaboration, professional development, and engagement within the field.
