HeartPAC

HeartPAC, ACC's Political Action Committee (PAC), is the nonpartisan political voice of the College. Representing the Cardiology Party, HeartPAC invests in congressional champions, acts on cardiology issues and supports the future of cardiovascular care. This work provides an avenue for the College and you, its members, to build and maintain relationships with members of Congress who have demonstrated leadership and understanding of health policy.

HeartPAC's mission is to support federal candidates who can help us advance legislation and policies that:

  • Improve health care for patients with cardiovascular disease.

  • Ease the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective cardiovascular services.

  • Fund cardiovascular research and prevention.

  • Engage with HeartPAC

Now is a crucial time for the ACC and its members to educate policymakers about the impact their decisions have on the cardiovascular community. At a time when the future of medicine is constantly being debated, clinicians are able to offer unique, patient-provider expertise that can truly influence health policy.

Through the support of HeartPAC, the ACC is focused on the following advocacy priorities:

  • Establishing Sustainable Medicare Payment Practices

  • Championing Access to Care for All

  • Bolstering the Clinician Workforce Now and for the Future

  • Fostering Care Transformation and Optimization

  • Supporting Clinicians in Providing Equitable Value-Based Care
