Conference Objectives
Since 2021, three separate symposia focused on HFpEF were being held in the United States:
The HFpEF Summit – an endeavor spearheaded by David Lefer (Cedars Sinai) and Fadi Salloum (Virginia Commonwealth) to bring together basic and translational researchers along with our industry partners;
The Charleston HFpEF Conference directed by Sheldon Litwin, Ryan Tedford, and Michael Zile (all at the Medical University of South Carolina);focusing on the clinical aspects of the disease
The UPenn HFpEF Symposium, chaired by Stuart Prenner and Payman Zamani (both at University of Pennsylvania), which also focused on the clinical diagnosis and management of HFpEF with an emphasis on exercise intolerance
The leaders from these groups have come together to create one annual HFpEF conference drawing from the most successful elements of each and leading to the creation of The North American HFpEF Summit. The goals of this conference are to provide:
A comprehensive guide to the diagnosis and management of HFpEF for clinicians (MDs, DOs, NPs, RNs, PAs, PharmDs) who care for these patients
A forum in which clinicians, basic and translational researchers, and industry partners can interact to brainstorm on current and future directions
A world-class faculty delivering state of the art lectures, case-based panel discussions, debates and an industry roundtable
