Membership with SCCACC

Election to membership in the ACC is based on training, specialty board certification, scientific and professional accomplishments and duration of active participation in a cardiovascular related field. Members are expected to conform to high moral standards. At least 75% of a potential members' professional activities must be devoted to the field of cardiovascular disease. Benefits

Chapters provide ACC members with the opportunity to discuss local and regional concerns and participate at a leadership level in the resolution of issues that directly affect them. Participation in local chapters is the ladder to future participation and leadership opportunities at the national level. To become a chapter member, membership in ACC is required.

Chapter Membership

Once you are elected to the College, simply indicate on your dues statement that $95 of your payment is for the South Carolina Chapter annual dues. Dues for Cardiac Care Associate Members is $20 per year. Your membership will be automatically added to the SC Chapter. For further information or help in becoming a member, please contact the ACC.

The Chapter has five classes of membership:

  • Active Members: Becoming a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Associate Fellow or Affiliate member is based on training, specialty board certification, scientific and professional accomplishments and duration of active participation in a cardiovascular related field.

  • Fellow-in-Training Members

  • Emeritus Members

  • Cardiovascular Team Members: Becoming a CVT member helps to promote collaboration and integration among all members of the cardiac care team and provides access to quality ACC education and information.

  • Practice Administrators: Become a member of the ACC today and take your career to the next level

  • Partners in Care Members: The American College of Cardiology invites cardiovascular technologists to join as Partners in Care members. Sonographers, electrophysiology specialists, invasive specialists and vascular specialists certified by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)and two or more years of experience are welcome to apply.

The Cardiovascular Team Section of the South Carolina Chapter of the ACC continues to grow! We are welcoming new members and always working to retain current members. Being a CVT member allows individuals to network with others in cardiology, gain access to tools and resources that will help you be success throughout your career, make available scholarships for meeting and national events, and much much more!!
